Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles, welcomed the return of their long-standing tradition of the Stations of the Cross following a two-year absence. Camino: A Walk with Jesus is a spiritual pilgrimage during our “Forward in Mission” Jubilee celebrating 250 years of Catholic faith in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., our journey will start at Mission San Gabriel Arcángel and end at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles. Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries invite you to participate in The Way of the Cross, a spiritual pilgrimage every Sunday during Lent at Calvary Cemetery in East Los Angeles. Our prayer services will begin at 2 p.m., as we call upon the historic stations symbolizing Jesus's last walk to Mount Calvary. These beautiful outdoor stations, donated by local parishes and catholic organizations, adorn the roads at Calvary. In addition, Resurrection Church will host a special reenactment of the Passion of the Lord on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022. In observance of World Day of the Sick and the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, a bilingual healing and anointing Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Archbishop Jose Gomez will be presider at Mass that will include the Anointing of the Sick, Blessing of Caregiver Hands, and Blessing with Lourdes Water. Attendees will receive Lourdes Water and a holy card. Our Annual Christmas Prayer Service of Remembrance was celebrated at All Souls Cemetery, our Presider Fr. Angel Castro of St. Helen Church, South Gate was assisted by Cantor Griselda Tan and Accompanist James Tan, on violin with Zachary Hernandez, on keyboard. Catholic Cemeteries & Mortuaries celebrated All Souls Day Mass on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., this outdoor Mass was offered at Calvary Cemetery and Mortuary in East Los Angeles. Those in attendance followed all Covid-19 protocols. Our All Souls Day Mass was broadcast on EWTN and Livestreamed to our Web and Facebook pages.

The Vigil will be live-streamed from Calvary Cemetery and Mortuary in East Los Angeles on Monday, November 1, at 7 p.m., family and friends are encouraged to send copies of photos of their departed loved ones. These photos will be placed at the large-scale community altar and will be blessed during the Vigil. On August 4th, 2021, Catholic Cemeteries & Mortuaries of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles celebrated the blessing of a newly developed section for priests named after the patron saint of priests, St. John Vianney. The section was blessed by Bishop David O’Connell from the San Gabriel Pastoral region at Queen of Heaven Cemetery & Mortuary in Rowland Heights, on St. Vianney’s Feast Day. Priests from around the region joined the celebration and received a tour of the cemetery and mortuary grounds. Bishop Robert Barron from the Santa Barbara Pastoral region will bless a second dedicated section at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, CA on Friday, August 6th.
