Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance, a day to pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. It's a day to honor their sacrifices and to express our gratitude for their service and dedication.
We invite you to join us on May 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. for the Memorial Day Mass at any of the eleven Catholic cemeteries across the archdiocese. This is an opportunity to come together as a community and to offer our prayers and support to the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Mass will be presided over by our esteemed religious leaders, including Archbishop Jose Gomez, Cardinal Roger Mahony, Bishop Gerald Wilkerson, Bishop Marc Trudeau, Bishop Slawomir Szkredka, Bishop Matthew Elshoff, O.F.M. Cap., Bishop Brian Nunes, Bishop Albert Bahhuth, Fr. Michael Montoya, Fr. Hieu Chi Tran, and Fr. John Love. Their presence will provide a source of solace and comfort, particularly to those who have lost loved ones in service to our country.
On this Memorial Day, let us deeply remember the courage and commitment of our fallen heroes. Let us honor their memory and sacrifice and pledge never to forget their service to our country. Your presence at the Memorial Day Mass is a powerful testament to this commitment. If you cannot attend, a live stream of our Mass from Resurrection Cemetery will be available on our website, CatholicCM.org, or Facebook at www.facebook.com/lacatholics/.
