100 Years of World Mission Sunday: Pope Leo XIV’s Message to the World
Renewing Our Call to Bring the Love of Christ to the World

For 100 years, World Mission Sunday has reminded Catholics of a beautiful truth: the mission of Christ belongs to all of us.
Through Baptism, each of us is called to carry Jesus Christ's love and hope into the world. We live that mission in our families, our parishes, our communities, and through our prayerful support of missionaries who bring the Gospel to people throughout the world.
As the Church marks this historic centennial, Pope Leo XIV invites us to reflect on our shared calling to be “One in Christ, United in Mission.” It reminds us that although we serve in different places and in different ways, we are united as one Body of Christ.
World Mission Sunday calls us to open our hearts to our brothers and sisters around the world and to recognize that every prayer, every act of generosity, and every loving encounter can become part of Christ’s mission.
As we celebrate 100 years of World Mission Sunday, may we ask the Lord to renew within us a missionary heart, one that sees Christ in others, brings hope to those in need, and courageously shares His love with the world.
May we go forward together, united in faith and united in mission.
